  • Manager Jurgen Klopp continues with Red Bull
  • Klopp will not replace Oliver Glasner

Jurgen Klopp has no intention of parting ways with the Red Bull Group, despite reports that Oliver Glasner could be his replacement.

The German tactician parted ways with Liverpool in 2024 after a hugely successful spell at Anfield and has been widely linked with a return to management ever since. Real Madrid and Manchester United are said to be keen on signing him, but according to Pete O’Rourke via Football Insider, manager Jurgen Klopp is not considering leaving his job at Red Bull.

Manager Klopp is also rumored to be moving to Atletico Madrid.

Manager Jurgen Klopp continues with Red Bull

Reports suggest Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is set to replace the former Liverpool manager at Red Bull, but Klopp says he is happy in his current role and has no intention of moving forward. The 58-year-old German manager is enjoying life away from the stress of running a club.

Speaking about Klopp leaving the Red Bull Group, O’Rourke said:

“Apparently, Red Bull officials denied suggestions that manager Jurgen Klopp could leave his role there and return to management.

“There will always be interest in Jurgen Klopp as a manager given his achievements throughout his career, but he seems happy in his current role at Red Bull.

“So I don’t think there’s any chance that Red Bull will push him out the door.

“Again, as you said, Glasner has links to the Red Bull operation, but I don’t see him rushing to leave the manager’s dugout anytime soon.

“So I don’t think there’s any indication yet that Glasner is ready to give up his coaching career right now.

“Like I said, Jurgen Klopp seems to be happy with Red Bull, happy with what he’s doing and Red Bull is happy with him, so it looks a little bit like a non-starter to me.”

Klopp will not replace Oliver Glasner

Glasner is set to part ways with Crystal Palace at the end of the season. He is now focused on finishing his tenure at Selhurst Park on a high note and is unlikely to take up a role outside of the management team.

He has worked for the Red Bull Group in the past, which is one of the main reasons why he is associated with the job. However, with Klopp not going anywhere, the door is already closed.

More importantly, Glasner wants to continue coaching at this stage of his career. Given his influence at Crystal Palace, there are bound to be plenty of clubs who would love to have him on their bench.
