Liverpool manager Arne Slott is “delighted” with Mohamed Salah’s departure, according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright.
The pundit suggested on today’s episode of Overlap that Slott would probably stand to benefit from losing the entire circus surrounding Salah.

The Egyptian international has had a long history of world-class performances at Anfield, but his form has clearly deteriorated this season, leading to a reduction in his playing time.
The problem, as Wright and his fellow pundits acknowledge, is that it’s essentially impossible for Slot to bench a big-name player like Salah unless it becomes a strong topic.
Ian Wright says Mohamed Salah’s departure is good for Arne Slott
It’s easy to imagine that Salah’s departure will make life easier for the slot next season, but it will certainly be difficult for the Reds to replace one of their all-time greats.
“It should be easy for Slot,” Wright said.
“He’s worried, ‘If I take him out, if he’s on the bench, what’s going to happen to him?’
“You know, there’s all this fuss about him being on the bench and, oh my gosh, Salah is[on the bench]is he going to play? I think Slott will be happy.”
How can Liverpool rebuild after Salah?
Even if the time seems right for Salah to leave Liverpool, the club will no doubt struggle to find someone to fill his role.
The Egyptian superstar is one of the best players of the Premier League era, and there don’t seem to be many realistic options on the market to replace him in LFC’s attack.
As we reported yesterday, Liverpool are working overtime to replace Salah and would ideally want to sign either Michael Olise or Yann Diomande.
