Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi is reportedly in talks with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham and could be close to choosing his next club.

We reported just a few days ago that Senesi was a target for Chelsea and Spurs, but sources say Liverpool have also been named.

However, it is now understood that the Reds are close to signing Ibrahima Konate to a new deal, and given Matteo Moretto’s post on X, it looks like there will be no more.

Mollet, who has worked with Fabrizio Romano, said he believes Senesi is currently closest to Man United, Chelsea and Spurs, but did not mention Liverpool. See below…

Mollet said: “Marcos Senesi is trying to choose his next team. His agent is in close contact with Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United. The remaining teams are much further away.”

Senesi has been brilliant for Bournemouth and will be available as a free agent this summer, so it’s no surprise that these top clubs are lining up to sign him.

What’s next for Marcos Senesi?

Senesi has proven himself at Premier League level and could be a valuable addition to top clubs this summer, even if he becomes a relatively short-term option.

At 28 years old, he’s probably already reached his peak, but he could still be a useful part of the team for at least the next couple of years.

Chelsea would certainly benefit from having more experienced players in their squad, but United could also probably use a bit more depth after injuries to the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt.

A decision seems to be nearing, and it is becoming clear which clubs are emerging as the favorites to win.
