One win in 10 games: damning statistics reveal Manchester United’s players are a major weakness

Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte has received his fair share of criticism since joining the club.

The 25-year-old Uruguay international was handed a starting role in today’s Premier League game against Leeds United, but once again failed to impress. The South American has failed to adapt to the Premier League and had another disappointing performance tonight against Manchester United.

Ugarte failed to provide physicality and defensive cover in Manchester United’s midfield, and the Red Devils also struggled to control the tempo of the match.

Manchester United ultimately lost 2-1 at home to Leeds United, but journalist Samuel Luckhurst highlighted a worrying statistic. The reporter revealed that Manchester United have won just one of the last 10 games in which Ugarte has started for the club.

It’s no secret that Manchester United need more quality in their midfield, and replacing Ugarte will be an absolute priority in the summer. He has not been able to justify a €50 million move to the club and a move in the summer would be ideal. It’s clear he hasn’t lived up to expectations at Manchester United and is not enjoying his football there. He has been heavily criticized and the player needs a fresh start.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to find a suitable move for the player in the summer. They should consider paying him and bringing in a quality replacement. They need to bring in players who can control the tempo of the game from deep and recycle possession. There will also be a need for a replacement for Casemiro, who will leave in the summer.
