  • Spurs end 17 trophy drought in Bilbao
  • “Magician” Gomez might be a great signature for the Spurs
        • Tottenham replaces Christian Romero by submitting a bid to a Company-style defender

Tottenham Hotspur is confident that he will be able to win the midfield “Magician” race following the Europa League victory over Manchester United.

Spurs end 17 trophy drought in Bilbao

The long wait for the Tottenham trophy ended earlier this week, causing some wild scenes as they returned to North London with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbao.

Ending a 17-year wait for large-scale silverware was paramount to Ange Postecoglou. He delivered again in the second season, but his team’s Europa League victory also secures his return to the Champions League next season despite their disastrous Premier League form.

So the move to the Spurs should be an attractive proposition for some top players during the summer transfer period, and they are now growing confidently to win the midfielder races that are now targeted by Man United.

Certainly, according to a Bootroom report, both Tottenham and United are interested in signing Angel Gomez of Reel, which will be available for free transfers at the expiration of his contract this summer, and North Londoners are now confident they will win the race.

The Red Devils’ defeat in the Europa League final means they will not play European football for explanations next season.

“Magician” Gomez might be a great signature for the Spurs

Ange has been suffering from injuries throughout the campaign, with people like Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison spending time on the sidelines, but in the summer, managers feel they can also offload fellow midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Thus, it makes perfect sense for Tottenham to infuse more depth into the middle of the park this summer, and Lille Maestro could be a great addition to the team that received his first England call-up earlier this season.

He is likened to the former Mann City captain and the manager of Bayern Munich.

Certainly, the British caught the eye of former interim boss Lee Carsley, but he was also highly praised by his former teammate Jonathan Panzo. “He’s like a magician.”

“He’s a small player, but his IQ is very clever and he knows how to avoid the pitch.”

Tottenham’s return to the Champions League will have to secure the money they spend in the windows they’re going to go, but signing a free transfer to Gomes remains a sensible business, and the move to North London should be much more appealing than Old Trafford after the heroes at Bilbao.
