Arsenal are willing to listen to offers to sign Victor Gokeres this summer, according to prominent sources on social media.
Despite arriving with high hopes as the solution to Mikel Arteta’s long-running search for a clinical number nine, the Sweden international’s stay in north London could be cut short unexpectedly.

Will Arsenal release Victor Gokeres?
The report, originally published by ITK regarding X, suggests the Gunners are ready to make a bid for the 27-year-old forward just 12 months after his arrival.
He wrote in X: “Arsenal are open to listening to any offers for Victor Gokeres this summer.”
Arsenal have had an excellent season, but the club’s hierarchy are reportedly considering whether Gokeres is a long-term fit with Arteta’s tactical evolution.
The decision comes as Arsenal are already talking about signing a potential replacement.
Gokeres’ debut season at Arsenal
Gökeres signed last summer following a lengthy transfer saga involving Arsenal’s search for a new striker, ultimately joining from Sporting CP for a hefty fee.
Although he hasn’t had the astronomical results he had in Primeira Liga, his debut season was still decent as far as numbers go.
Across all competitions, Gokeres has scored 18 goals in 48 games.
These stats represent a solid return for a player who made his debut in the most competitive league in the world, but falls short of the elite standards many expected. However, a lot of that could also be linked to Arteta’s passive style of play.
For now, the Swedish powerhouse remains a key part of the squad and reports seem a bit far-fetched at this stage.
