West Ham United are reportedly “in the process” of signing Chelsea attacker Nicholas Jackson, according to a prominent transfer source.

The Hammers are looking to strengthen their front line ahead of the 2026-27 season, with Jackson emerging as a key target after a disappointing season across Europe.

The Senegalese international spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German giants recently confirmed they would not exercise their €65 million buyout option.

The decision paved the way for Jackson to return to London, but his long-term future at Stamford Bridge remains shrouded in uncertainty.

West Ham eyeing signing of Nicholas Jackson

Reports from insiders suggest West Ham are actively poised to make a deal as soon as the summer window opens.

Heading to X, he posted the following update: “West Ham are making a move for Nicholas Jackson. Players to keep an eye on…”

The Hammers had long been looking for a dynamic, young forward who could lead the line and provide a physical presence, and Jackson fit that profile perfectly.

Chelsea are currently in a period of transition following the departure of Enzo Maresca and the subsequent sacking of Liam Rosenior, with the Blues expected to take another look at their squad.

Chelsea recently signed Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emega, but it appears they are prepared to sanction Jackson’s departure if a suitable offer arrives.

West Ham will face stiff competition, however, with Newcastle United showing strong interest in Jackson and Aston Villa also eyeing the Bundesliga player.

The player would not favor a move to West Ham if the Hammers were to be relegated in 17th place, two points above the relegation zone.

Nicholas Jackson’s Chelsea days

Jackson’s time at Chelsea has been an ups and downs since joining from Villarreal in 2023.

Although he showed brilliance and an incredible work rate, he often struggled with clinical finishing and disciplinary issues, especially at the end of the 2024-25 season when he received two red cards.

During his recent loan spell at Bayern Munich, Jackson proved he can still perform at the highest level, scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances while acting as a reliable substitute for Harry Kane.

Despite these impressive figures, Bayern’s refusal to pay him a hefty permanent contract means the 24-year-old is once again in demand.
