  • Leeds complete Ueda reconnaissance mission
  • 26-goal Ueda could thrive next to Calvert-Lewin
        • Leeds approach Bielsa’s beloved Premier League star with £40,000-a-week deal

Leeds United have entered the race to sign Ayase Ueda after completing a recent scouting mission for the impressive Feyenoord striker.

Leeds complete Ueda reconnaissance mission

It is no exaggeration to say that Leeds are seriously working towards the summer transfer window. Six points above the drop zone with four Premier League games remaining, their ambitions are becoming clearer by the day.

Manager Daniel Farke will be hoping the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea is not the last time Leeds play at Wembley during his tenure. Even if it ended in defeat, there is no denying that Los Blancos exceeded expectations.

The focus now will be on the transfer market and on rewarding Farke after an excellent first season back in the top flight. On that front, the 49ers are already looking to make the most of their chances of staying in the Premier League by targeting Wolverhampton Wanderers’ biggest star.

The Midlands club are already set to be relegated to the Championship, with Leeds reportedly set their sights on impressive midfielder Joao Gomez. The arrival of the Brazilian could form part of an impressive list of additions that could also include a 26-goal striker.

Leeds United could have to break a transfer record and pay £50m to sign Gomez this summer

As reported by TeamTalk, Leeds entered the race to sign Ueda from Feyenoord this summer. The forward has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season, more than anyone else at the club, and has already attracted the attention of Elland Road scouts following his latest stint.

As the partnership with Strike progresses, the addition of Ueda to Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be an incredibly impressive move for everyone involved at the Yorkshire club this summer.

26-goal Ueda could thrive next to Calvert-Lewin

Despite all the impressive moments this season, Farke will be the first to admit that Leeds still need improvement in attack. That’s why they lost this afternoon against Chelsea at Wembley, and why Ueda is such an important target.

What immediately stands out about Ueda is how clinical he is. So far this season, he has scored 25 goals in the Eredivisie while scoring an XG of 17.88. He was just relentless in front of goal.

Leeds approach Bielsa’s beloved Premier League star with £40,000-a-week deal

Los Blancos have made contact to sign an “attacking” player.

The 27-year-old Japanese striker is at his peak and should be ready to break into the Premier League next to Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds should do everything they can to sign Ueda this summer, especially as they are not the only club with interest in the Premier League. He will ultimately complete Falke’s front line and in the process take the club to a new level.
