Dominik Szoboszlai scores a solo goal after Diallo’s mistake

Manchester United entered the second half with a comfortable two goals, but their momentum disappeared just two minutes after the restart.

Amad Diallo, who came on at half-time to replace the injured Benjamin Sesco, had a nightmare start to his cameo role.

In the 47th minute, Diallo attempted a loose pass in his own half, but it was easily intercepted by Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarian midfielder didn’t need a second invitation, moving forward with purpose and weaving his way through United’s defence.

He ended his run with a calm finish over Senne Ramens, giving Arne Slott’s team, which had previously looked like they were in second place, an instant boost.

Senne Lamence scores Liverpool’s equalizer

If the first goal was a gift, the second goal was a total meltdown.

In the 56th minute, United’s young goalkeeper Senne Lamence made a fatal mistake that silenced the Old Trafford crowd.

Under minimal pressure, the Belgian shot-stopper tried to play in from the back, but hit a clearance directly into the path of Alexis Mac Allister.

Mac Allister immediately fed Szoboszlai, who selflessly handed the ball to Kodi Gakpo. With Rammens out of position and the goal open, the Dutch forward made no mistake and scored from close range to make it 2-2.

Two goals in nine minutes completely changed the course of the game. United looked like they were on track to consolidate third place, but they are now under immense pressure.
