Manchester United are aiming to agree a new contract with Bruno Fernandes.

The 31-year-old Portugal international has been outstanding for the team this season and was named the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year. He has eight goals and 21 assists this season.

Manchester United do not want to lose the player at any cost and hope to agree a new deal with him before they leave for the World Cup this summer. According to a report from SportsBoom, Manchester United are currently in talks with his agent to extend his contract.

It will be interesting to see if all parties can reach an agreement quickly. The player has been rumored to be linked to clubs in Saudi Arabia, and was recently reported to have turned down a huge move to the Saudi Professional League.

Manchester United have qualified for next season’s Champions League and will be fighting for the trophy next season. It’s no wonder the Portuguese trailer has people excited about the possibility of a continuation. He will want to win big trophies with them. It makes sense for him to extend his stay at the club.

If Manchester United want to improve next season and close the gap on Arsenal and Manchester City, they will need to keep their best players. Fernandes is an essential asset for them and losing him would be devastating for the club. They need a quality player like him and his leadership.

Manchester United have the financial wherewithal to offer him a big deal and should aim to finalize a deal soon. The player currently has a £57m release clause in his contract and will want the club to demonstrate their ambitions before signing a long-term deal.
