NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — The 2026 PGA Championship feels like a tournament for everyone heading into Sunday’s final round. Alex Smalley sits at the top of the leaderboard as he has for the past two days, but this time he takes sole possession of the lead after posting a 68 on Saturday to push him within two strokes of 6 under. Even with that small cushion, Smalley’s lead feels very tenuous, especially with so many stars closing in on his heels. to follow 2026 PGA Championship Leaderboard Live Broadcast and Updates Through round 4.
Smalley will tee off again in the final pairing with Matty Schmidt at 2:35 p.m. ET, with both players looking for a surprising PGA win for their first major title. Leading the chase will be Jon Rahm, who will be paired with Nick Taylor in the penultimate group at 2:25pm, while Ludwig Oberg will depart in the group ahead of them with Aaron Rye at 2:15pm.
An interesting pairing for the chasing pack will be Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele starting at 2:05pm, with both starting 30 minutes early and likely trying to give the leaders something to think about.
There will also be a number of interesting pairs competing early in the day who will look to put pressure on the top teams before they tee off. Hideki Matsuyama and Chris Gotterup will likely play together again on Sunday, and Sam Barnes and Brooks Koepka should also be a comfortable pairing.
Scottie Scheffler is scheduled to tee off 2 1/2 hours before the final bracket, and the defending champion has his sights set on posting the numbers everyone else will stare at as he circles Aronimink Golf Club. Will any of them be able to catch Smalley?and if so, who will bring back the bulk? Winner’s Share of 2026 PGA Championship Purse?
