Spurs bosses are holding internal discussions over the signing of the young Serie A sensation.

Tottenham Hotspur are already close to making two new signings for next season and could add a third to that list in the form of a midfield sensation.

De Zerbi’s system requires high-pressing midfielders and intense transitions. This Italian is just that person and will thrive under his compatriots.

The numbers also support this style. This season alone, Picilli has recorded 76 recoveries, nearly 40 more than Bergvall. On paper, he’s a perfect fit for De Zerbi.
