Morgan Rodgers is shaping up to be one of the most talked about players this summer, and Bayern Munich are firmly in the conversation.
Vincent Kompany is a big fan of the Aston Villa star and wants to bring him to Munich, according to Christian Falk.
However, Bayern are aware that this is not an easy deal. The main reason for this is the huge price tag and the amount of interest from the Premier League.
Rodgers is attracting attention from several major clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, who are rumored to be signing him this summer.
Bayern’s interest is interesting. In Kompany, Rodgers will be acquiring another powerful and versatile attacking midfielder who can play centrally, on the left or even as a second striker.
That flexibility is why so many clubs like him.

His numbers explain the hype. Rodgers finished the 2025/26 Premier League season with 10 goals and six assists in 37 appearances, contributing to 16 goals for Aston Villa.
He also started every league game and played 3,280 minutes, showing how important he has become under Unai Emery.
Rodgers looks very much a Mikel Arteta-style player for Arsenal. He is powerful, direct, technically stable and able to carry the ball into crowded midfield areas.
Arsenal are looking at attacking midfield and left-sided options, so Rodgers naturally fits that profile.
However, Villa are said to not want to sell him, which poses a big problem for the Gunners.
Arsenal and Chelsea lead Bayern Munich
Chelsea’s angle is also easy to understand. They have spent big on young attacking talent, but Rodgers offers something a little different: Premier League experience, physicality and end product.
He could be a very useful addition if Chelsea restructure their squad under a new manager.
Rodgers would be a great signing for Bayern, Arsenal or Chelsea, but Aston Villa have the strongest cards.
His contract runs until 2031, so Villa are under no pressure to accept a regular offer.
Bayern may like him, but the Premier League club has made this race extremely difficult.
Arsenal can offer a clear sporting project, Chelsea can offer a major rebuild and Villa can offer guaranteed importance.
