Former England striker Emile Heskey has singled out Jude Bellingham for his outstanding performance in the win over Mexico.
The Three Lions showed their mettle in this World Cup with a stunning 3-2 victory over the co-hosts, who had won every game without conceding a goal up until last night’s encounter.
Bellingham scored twice for England and Heskey praised Bellingham for showing he was a true talisman for his country everywhere on the pitch.

The 23-year-old has long been regarded as one of the most exciting young players in the world, but he hasn’t had his best season with Real Madrid ahead of this summer’s tournament.
But now Bellingham is showing his true worth by really stepping up when it matters most to the national team.
Emile Heskey praises Jude Bellingham
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, the critic said: “Jude Bellingham has been great, he’s going to be our talisman.
“He’s going to be a guy who takes the fight by the scruff of his neck when called upon.
“It wasn’t just his goal. He also made the last tackle at the end. He did it all.”
Heskey himself played alongside great England midfielders such as Paul Scholes and Steven Gerrard, so his praise of Bellingham will be appreciated.

The former Birmingham City youngster truly has it all in his game and increasingly feels that whether England win the World Cup will depend on him or Harry Kane.
There were some questions in other areas of the England squad, but Bellingham and Kane are truly world class and led the team to success once again in last night’s win.
