Newcastle United have been given a boost in their battle to sign an impressive striker who is seriously considering a move to St James’ Park this summer.
Newcastle compete to sign attacking star
It’s no surprise that the Magpies are looking for attacking reinforcements. They were already lacking a goal threat, but it is undeniable that their physical strength has weakened with the departure of Anthony Gordon.
PIF spent big on Nick Waltemaide, Anthony Herranaga and Yoan Wissa, who struggled last summer, and will need to support Eddie Howe with the right reinforcements this time around.

Even if they fail to qualify for European football, the £69m transfer fee Gordon received from Barcelona will undoubtedly increase Newcastle’s spending this summer.
The likes of Víctor Muñoz could arrive, with wingers being the immediate priority, and another impressive attacker could be signed for a bargain price this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, reported by Sport Witness, Dusan Vlahovic is now seriously considering a move to Newcastle following the latest round of talks with the Magpies.

Magpies are ready to spend big…
The Serbian forward is set to become a free agent when his contract with Juventus expires this summer, and there is no shortage of potential suitors, although desperate negotiations are expected with the Turin club.
Blachowicz has interest from Chelsea as well as the Magpies, sparking a battle to sign his signature across the Premier League. The big question is whether Newcastle can develop their own attacking solution ahead of the Blues.
Newcastle should do everything in their power to sign Vlahovic.
When it comes to attacking solutions at a bargain price, there is no player better than Vlahovic this summer. The forward hasn’t always been at his best at Juventus, but he has enjoyed a goal-scoring career so far. And that’s exactly what Newcastle ultimately need in a replacement for Alexander Isak.
The forward has scored 156 goals in his career and, at 26 years old, has a lot more to come. His arrival at St James’ Park would also make sense when considering Woltemade’s new role.
Newcastle thought they would welcome a new talisman when the German arrived last summer. However, it was later revealed that his profile was incorrect and that he was not a complete striker.
Signing Vlahovic will allow Howe to move Voltemade into a deeper role without the constant criticism that the former Stuttgart player was originally signed to lead the line.
