Tottenham Hotspur have received a major boost in the race to sign their top striker after the player’s agent firmly denied reports of a pre-agreement with Fenerbahçe, creating fresh uncertainty over the player’s future and reopening the door to Europe’s elite clubs.
There has been speculation that Borussia Dortmund’s ‘untouchable’ forward Selhou Guirassi is almost certain to join the Turkish giants. However, these claims have now been directly rejected and no agreement has been reached at this stage.

Selou Guirassi’s agent denies agreement with Fenerbahce over possible Spurs reinforcements
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger, the 30-year-old Guinea international’s brother and agent Calamba Gilassie has completely denied reports that a move to Istanbul is imminent.
“I want to be clear: no agreement of any kind has been reached,” he said. “Selhoud is currently considering his options for next season. The claims regarding a verbal contract are completely untrue.”
A move away from Borussia Dortmund remains a realistic possibility this summer, but no final decision has yet been made on his next move.
This clarification could breathe new life into Tottenham’s pursuit as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add an elite, physical presence to the front of their attacking line.
Over the past few months, top Premier League clubs have been linked with him.
Spurs are not the only English club to be monitoring the situation closely. Several of the Premier League’s top teams have expressed interest in the dynamic forward over the past few months.
It was previously reported that Chelsea had also established contacts with a view to signing him. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Man United have also been linked with him in the past.
Beyond England’s borders, European powerhouses AC Milan and Atletico Madrid also have Guirassi on their shortlist.
The competition for his signature is wide open and with no verbal agreement in place with Fenerbahce, all of these elite suitors remain firmly on board.
Girashi’s elite class continues to attract top clubs
No wonder Europe’s top clubs are keen to sign the forward. Gilassy has established himself as one of the most clinical finishers.
After scoring a breathtaking 38 goals in his debut season in Germany, he also backed it up with a fantastic individual performance, scoring 22 goals in all competitions, including 17 in the Bundesliga alone.
