  • Arteta wants Bouadi to stay at Arsenal next season
  • Real Madrid’s threat changes the race

Arsenal’s signing of Ayyoub Bouadi could become even more complicated, with Real Madrid keeping a close eye on the Lille midfielder following his impressive performance at the World Cup.

According to journalist Jose Félix Diaz, Madrid are eyeing Bouadi as one of the stars who could break out in this tournament.

There are other names on the list, but the fact that Bouadi is being considered should worry Arsenal, who are already working on a potential signing.

The Gunners have been linked with the Moroccan midfielder for several weeks, with the Daily Canon reporting that Arsenal have begun talks with representatives over a summer move.

FOX Sports also reported that Lille are demanding around 70 million euros, with further negotiations expected to take place after the World Cup.

Arteta wants Bouadi to stay at Arsenal next season

Bouadi is exactly the type of midfielder Arsenal want to target.

He is young, technically gifted, calm under pressure and already showing maturity beyond his years.

His performance for Morocco against Brazil attracted a lot of attention and his ability to perform on that stage has only increased his value.

Bouadi would be a long-term midfield investment for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal already have quality in central areas, but they are clearly looking for a player who can grow with the team and eventually become a key starter.

Real Madrid’s threat changes the race

Arsenal’s problem is simple. Once Real Madrid are in the race, everything becomes difficult.

The Spanish giants can offer fame, Champions League history and the chance to be part of one of the biggest projects in world football.

That doesn’t mean Arsenal are out of the race. They could offer a clearer development path, Premier League football and a manager known for developing young players.

However, Madrid’s interest could push up the price and prompt Arsenal to move quickly.

Bouadi remains a target for Arsenal, but Real Madrid’s presence is bad news.

If the Gunners truly believe he is a star of the future, they may need to make a move before the competition gets even stronger.
