Thunder took a 2-1 lead with the Timberwolves and The Timberwolves heading into Game 4 on Monday night. But the momentum was on Minnesota’s side.

They scored a dominant 42-point victory in Game 3. Luckily, OKC erased that loss from their memory and responded with a massive victory in Game 4. He also had nine rebounds and 10 assists. SGA is the fifth player in postseason history, earning 40/10/9 in the conference final game.

Against the Timberwolves in Game 4, OKC’s Shy Gilgauss Alexander played a team-high 40 minutes. The 26-year-old also had 40 points against Minnesota, nine rebounds and 10 assists. He is the fifth player in NBA history and has 40/10/9 in the conference final game. Speaking to the media after a massive Game 4 victory, SGA said, “I lost myself in the competition, got offensive and tried to choose my spot.”

That’s exactly what the 2024-25 NBA MVP did in Game 4. He hit two massive free throws in 6.1 seconds over the arc, 12-14, and in the fourth quarter he hit two massive free throws in 6.1 seconds. That gave OKC a three-point lead. The Thunder purposely fouled Anthony Edwards in 3.5 seconds. Place Edwards on the line of two shots. He made his first one, but intentionally missed the second one in order to try and own his team on the rebound.

However, Shy Gilgauss Alexander tracked the rebound and leapt the ball out of the boundary. The refs added 0.3 seconds to the clock, but the Timberwolves didn’t shoot any shots. Monday was a big win for the Oklahoma City Thunder. They’re one victory from punching tickets to the NBA Finals. OKC played the last NBA Finals in 2012, losing to the Miami Heat in five games.
