Jules Kounde is rumored to be on the verge of leaving Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
According to TEAMtalk, an intermediary has made offers to the French vendor to several clubs.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are aware of the player’s availability and it remains to be seen whether they will decide to move him. The report also claims that Manchester United have also been approached, but they are not interested in signing the Barcelona defender.
Kounde is a versatile player who can play as both a right-back and a central defender. He could be a great signing for Liverpool. Conor Bradley and Jeremy Frimpong have suffered injury problems and they need more depth in that area of the pitch.
The France international could also play in a central defensive position and could be an ideal utility man for Liverpool.
Chelsea already have options in that area of the pitch and it would be quite surprising if they decided to move on for the France international. Similarly, Arsenal have a wealth of talent in defence. They have the best defensive unit in the country and need to focus on other areas of the team.
A move to Liverpool could be ideal for the Barcelona defender. He will be hoping to play regularly at this stage of his career.
Meanwhile, Barcelona value the player at around £43m, but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool are willing to pay that amount for the player. They have the resources to complete the deal. The defender currently earns over £200,000 a week at the Spanish club. His salary could be an issue for clubs looking to sign him. They would want to sign him for a reasonable amount.
