The PGA Tour concludes its weekend tour of the Quad Cities for the annual Fourth of July John Deere Classic. Like last week’s host course, TPC Deer Run has plenty of scoring opportunities and we could see another sub-60 round before the tournament ends.
While John Deere doesn’t have the game’s elite stars on the field, it still has some notable names. The most intriguing player in this area is Jackson Koibun. He made his professional debut two weeks ago after ending a stellar amateur career with a tie for the Raw Am title at the U.S. Open. In addition to Koibun’s professional debut, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Max Homa and Chris Gotterup are all also eager to make the trip to the Quad-Cities to get some form for the end of the 2026 season. To win the Leaping Deer trophy, someone must make a string of birdies to conquer the Deer Run field.
There are two surprising names at the top of the leaderboard: Lucas Glover and Zach Johnson, with Glover holding onto the top spot with 36- and 54-hole marks. Among the notable players competing for the remaining 18 holes in Minnesota are Chris Gotterup, Rickie Fowler and Max Homa.
As the PGA Tour celebrates Independence Day on the course, here’s how to watch the battle all weekend long.
