Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace attacker Ismaila Sarr.
The 28-year-old has been a hugely impressive figure for Crystal Palace, helping them win the UEFA Europa Conference League last season. He scored 9 goals in European competitions and 21 goals in all competitions.
According to Footmercato, Manchester United are interested in the player and have already made inquiries regarding their availability. The Senegalese international has been a consistent performer in the Premier League and could be a very useful option for Manchester United’s attack. He can play on the wing or in the middle. He might be the ideal utility man for them.
It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace will allow him to leave. The 28-year-old may feel that this could be his last chance to join an elite club and would no doubt be attracted to the idea of playing for Manchester United if a concrete offer were to come his way.
Manchester United have Benjamin Sesco at their disposal but need more depth in attack. With Rasmus Høylund and Joshua Zirkzee expected to be sold this summer, Manchester United need someone who can share the goalscoring burden with Sesco.
The Senegalese international has the physical and technical attributes to perform well at Old Trafford and is well suited to English football. He will work hard and aim to make an immediate impact.
Crystal Palace want to build on their successful season and selling one of their best attacking players would not be ideal for them. Manchester United may need to put forward an attractive offer to persuade them.
