After closing the 2024/25 campaign in a draw with Crystal Palace and lifting the Premier League trophy, Liverpool boss Arne Slot has pledged to invest this summer, although there hasn’t been a “radical change.”

Such a practical response is expected from a respected head coach. The head coach has made his business-like approach possible to suit him as the successor to Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside.

But the rumors are filled with reinforced claims that Liverpool is moving quickly to close the summer business. Florian Wortz has moved from Bayer Leberkusen to Anfield on a club record fee, but teammate Jeremy Fripon has already completed his medical care.

Frimon has been signed on behalf of Trent Alexander Arnold. Trent Alexander Arnold is imminent in a free transfer to Real Madrid, and in a way his German companions are also referred to as “genius” by Zabi Alonso due to his immeasurable creative abilities.

However, the Reds are keen to make more frontal signatures to help Mohamed Sarah, who has dominated the awards ceremony after his incredible year, but if the 33-year-old goes back next season, they need a little more help.

Liverpool’s front line on 24/25

Sarah ended the campaign quite ti-ill with two goals and one assist in the final nine Premier League fixtures, but did so too for the rest of the team, who scored two points from 12 after the title was sealed.

Late season slumps become a bad barometer when it comes to assessing Sarah’s shape when it comes to predicting future success. However, the Egyptian king will turn 33 in a few weeks, so the concern is understandable.

In fact, what about them? Sarah just scored 34 goals in 53 matches in all Liverpool tournaments and also played 23 assists. He will solidify his position as one of the entire divisional lineages and, after writing a new contract at Merseyside, will need 29 top flight goals from two more terms to replace Harry Kane as the second-highest scorer in history.

But he needs support. Liverpool forwards are growing and profitable like the tide this season, but they also took away the obvious new number nine, given the bout of inconsistency between Cody Gakupo and Luis Diaz.

But Sarah doesn’t just need a striker. He needs more cover. The veteran superstar was backed up by unreliable Federico Chiesa, who started once in the league this year.

Wirtz will help Salah towards a new season of new returns, but adding an out-and-out scorer will ease his heavy burden, support on the right wing, and Liverpool will support a number of different tournaments.

Liverpool in the Sarah Rival Race

According to Spanish paper As (Wednesday edition, via sports witness), Liverpool is interested in signing Takefusa Kubo of Real Sociedad.

With the release clause of 60 million euros (£50 million) the winger didn’t get cheaper, but Liverpool and Arsenal are considered the biggest contenders in the race for his signature after efforts were rejected from the Saudi Arabian professional league.

Certainly, the Premier League duo are said to have contacted the move amid claims that they are “knocking the door” of talent in demand.

The 23-year-old plays a second fiddle to Sarah, but this could be a wise and wise move, as Chiesa’s future is uncertain. After all, Sarah isn’t younger.

Why Liverpool should sign Takefusakubo?

Liverpool will get frustrated when they tried to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi last summer and will be wary of engaging in a long and ultimately failed bid to another top player from the Basque country this summer.

However, Kubo has changed his agent, and that suggests he is open to moving in this summer. Furthermore, he refused a favorable offer from Saudi Arabia and wanted to play at the highest level.

Liverpool is able to offer just that, offering something even more appealing through the fact that Sarah will play for Afcon next season, running from December to January.

It certainly will add some new electricity and athleticism to the right flank, especially considering Jeremy Fripon should be in the mix.

According to FBREF, Kubo ranks in the top 13% of progressive carry in the term, ranking the top 7% for successful take-ons per 90.

A successful take-on is recorded when the player defeats the opponent while bringing the ball directly into the possession.

Additionally, former Mallorca CEO Maheta Morango said he has “involved in “someday becoming a superstar.” Kubo’s Japanese teammate Liverpool’s hero Wataru End suggests that the ace that the fleet stepped in could be successful.

Kubo, who scored seven goals in 52 matches in every tournament this season and supported four more matches, cannot dispute the need to create more goals in front of the goal, but the underlying data suggests he is indeed a “superstar.”

According to Sofascole, he may have only scored five times in Laliga this year, but he also wastes two big chances that won a 5.3 duel per game, showing a fighting approach that will help him in the Premier League.

He averaged 1.2 shots per game. He needs to do more. But that’s a big deal, but Slot knows what he’s about in the tactical aspect and can use Kubo’s remarkable physical metrics to develop confidence in the final third, while allowing Sara to challenge him for the start of the right flank verse.

Of course, some of Kubo’s abilities will reserve reservations about joining a team like Liverpool only to play as other researchers, but Kubo will recognize the benefits of learning from master craftsmen like Sarah.

He’s doing what he needs to do, but Japan International is young and talented, making him a perfect counterpoint on his right flank.
