Both young players stood out significantly during both rookie and professional camps, as well as preseason games, but there simply wasn’t enough room on the NHL roster to keep them. He went on to add that they see a lot of upside in both prospects, believing they are just beginning their journey and have the potential to become impactful NHL players. Their energy and passion for hockey are contagious, and Sullivan feels the sky’s the limit for them.
Both prospects, who were recently acquired, are entering their first professional seasons after successful stints in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Greentree is known as a gritty, skilled winger who has reached over 30 goals in three consecutive seasons with the Windsor Spitfires and came close to a 100-point campaign just two years ago. Beaudoin is a sizable center who has steadily developed his two-way game, culminating in a season where he posted career highs in multiple categories with the Barrie Colts.
Although they will start the season with Hartford, it’s very possible they could make an impact at the NHL level sooner rather than later, as they are only a call away. If not now, the future for both looks incredibly promising on Broadway.
