Bournemouth defender Milos Kerquez has linked his move to Liverpool in recent weeks, with the Reds set to submit official offers to sign him in the coming days.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bournemouth is demanding more than £40 million for the 21-year-old Hungarian left-back.

Liverpool needs a left back

Liverpool will need to sign a quality player like him to replace Andrew Robertson this summer. Scottish international has been an exception for Liverpool for many years, but he is in the Twilight stage of his career and he is in decline. Liverpool needs him to upgrade and signing a talented young left back should be a priority for them.

Also, Kostas Tsimikas could be sold this summer.

Kerquez has proven himself with Cherry in the Premier League and has the ability to play for big clubs like Liverpool. Liverpool certainly has financial muscle to pay the reported asking price, and it remains to be seen if they will be able to get the deal done.

Ben Jacobs claims the players have already agreed to join Liverpool this summer. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to secure contracts at the moment.

Participating in the Premier League champions is extremely exciting for young defenders. He aims to fight against them for a big trophy. They could offer him Champions League football next season. Furthermore, joining Liverpool means he can play alongside his fellow countryman Dominique Zobosilai.

The reported asking price may seem like a premium now, but the player is very young and he has plenty of room for improvement. He could easily justify future spending. It is still unclear whether Liverpool is ready to beat the bank for him.
