Arsenal is about to sign two forward players this summer. At this stage, Benjamin Sesco and Rodrigo are the preferred options for the club’s sports division. However, according to one former player, the latter should be overlooked.

Arsenal is one of the clubs most interested in signing Rodrigo, who appears to be on his way out of Real Madrid after a disappointing form of run in 2025. Brazil International is keen to play in his preferred left field position. But nonetheless, there are people related to the club who want other players to be considered instead.

Arsenal told him to target Morgan Rodgers’ target mauve.

Speaking about Talksport (via Football Insider), Rayperler called on previous clubs to abandon Rodrigo’s pursuit in order to prioritize the signature of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

“He’s 22 and he’ll get better. He can play No. 10, he can play wide and he can get some goals for you too.

Arsenal links to Rogers’ summer moves. Rogers’ Aston Villa could be thought of indistinct due to well-documented PSR concerns. This could make it more affordable than Rodrigo, who is believed to be taking prices on regional figures of £80 million.

It remains to be seen how Arsenal will strive as another attacker alongside the new striker. Rodrigo may be the preferred option now, but Rodgers will be able to gain traction in the coming weeks, depending on the circumstances unfolding during the summer transfer period.
