At 34 years old, Ramsey recently faced relegation with his hometown club, Cardiff City, moving them from the championship to League One.

ESPN reports that Pumas is actively negotiating with Ramsey about the move, which aligns with the interests of Mexican national team coach Efrain Juarez. An oral agreement appears to be in place.

Juarez shares the same representation as Ramsey, which is aiding in the transfer process.

Having played for the Welsh national team 86 times and reached the Euro 2016 semi-finals, Ramsey expressed his desire to continue his playing career, aiming to lead Wales in next summer’s World Cup.

“There’s a lot to play for, and that World Cup is a huge carrot that’s hanging,” Ramsey stated in April.

During his time with Arsenal, Ramsey won the FA Cup three times, and he also secured a Serie A title and Coppa Italia during his two seasons with Juventus.

Editorial Opinion: This transfer is significant for soccer fans as it highlights the growing allure of leagues outside Europe, which can enhance the global visibility of the sport. Aaron Ramsey’s move may also inspire other players to follow suit, potentially elevating the competitiveness and reputation of leagues in regions like Mexico.
