“For the first hour I was just running around, sprints, it was like fitness training with her drop shots,” Pegura said via athletics. “She’s so tricky. She does a lot here every year.”
“I know she’s not playing that much because she’s injured,” she added.
Pegra will face either Elsa Jacquesmott or Royce Boisson’s French opponent in the next round, allowing the Roland Garos crowd to cheer her on.
Jannik Sinner has no issues with Jiri Lehecka
On the boys’ side, top seed Janik Thinner cruised into the fourth round and easily defeated Jiri Lehecca in straight sets 6-0, 6-1, 6-2. They only lost three games, and Thinner finished the match in 1 hour and 35 minutes.
He unrelentingly from the start, winning 11 winners and winning 11 straight games to start the match while committing only nine forced errors. No. 7 Women’s Seed Madison Keys struggled at first against Sofia Kenin, losing their first set of 4-6. Despite having problems with her backhand return and beating Kenin’s drop shot, the Keys won the next two sets, finishing the match with a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.
Kenin won that third set, earning a 3-0 lead. However, the Keys fought back 5-4 and defeated serve when Kenin’s forehand return was bigger. Eventually, Kenin’s unforced error spent an opportunity to upset her and moved to the fourth round.

Keys will face fellow American Haley Baptist in the fourth round, looking to advance to the French Open quarterfinals for the first time since 2019.
Jack Draper advances to the fourth round for the first time
No. 5 seed jack draper passed Joao Fonseca in straight sets at 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. He will reach the French Open 4 round for the first time in his career. Fonseca had little defense against Draper’s serve, but he continued to win during the match
Ahead of the possibility of a quarter-final with the sinner, the No. 1 seed praised Draper for endurance through hip tendonitis that hugged him at the beginning of the year.
