West Ham has been on the new left-back market after Aaron Creswell left, replacing it with Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

After a terrible disappointment in the 2024-25 season, West Ham hopes to bounce back in 2025-26. Graham Potter has many positions he wants to address with his team, with left back being one of the most pressing areas.

Ollie Scarles was impressed when he was called out later in the season, but there is a desire for another option to compete with Emerson Palmieri. And the man could be Jinchenko. Zinchenko appears destined to leave Arsenal this summer.

According to Pianetamilan (via sports witness), West Ham is one of the race clubs signing Zinchenko, which already links with Atletico Madrid. And the fact that AC Milan, another club in the fight with Ukrainian International, is reluctant to pay Arsenal’s 15 million euros asking price, gives Hammer hope to get the deal done.

Ajax and Borussia Dortmund are mentioned as interested in Zinchenko, who is ready to reduce wages at their next club. And this is ideal for West Ham, who is looking to work financially this summer.

Zinchenko will be added to West Ham’s top given that it can also operate in the midfield. This is another area that needs to be addressed during the summer transfer period. It remains to be seen whether the deal will be made or not, but it will not be given to other clubs competing in the race.
