Scotty Schaeffler will head out to defend his title as the 2025 Travelers Championship begins at TPC River Highlands on Thursday. This week’s victory will join Phil Mickelson (2001-02) as the only golfer to successfully defend his title in the Travelers Championship. The first round of the 2025 Travelers Championship T-shirts begin Thursday at 8am. Schaeffler will be paired with newly-built US Open Champion JJ Spaun through the first two days of action, with the duo tee-off at 1:45pm ET on Thursday.

Schaeffler is the defending champion of the event and is a bet favorite of +280, according to the latest 2025 Travelers Championship Odds. He is followed by Rory McIlroy (+1100), Xander Schauffele (+1200) and Collin Morikawa (+2000) on the PGA odds board. Russell Henry, who has made his eighth start at the Travelers Championship, has finished his T-10 finish at the US Open. Henry finished third on the PGA Tour this season, setting a price at +260 to crack the top 10 this week. Before you lock yourself up to the 2025 Travelers Championship Pick, make sure to check out the golf predictions and predicted leaderboards from the Sportsline’s proven computer models.

The Sportsline’s proprietary model, built by DFS Pro Mike McClure, has been red hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model has surpassed $8,500 on its best bet since its post-tournament reboot.

This same model nailed the 2025 Master (a whopping 15 majors over the weekend, including its fourth Master and the 2025 PGA Championship). Anyone who followed the sports bet pick has seen massive returns Bet Site. Now that the 2025 Travelers Championship field has been locked, Sportsline has simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were astounding. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

2025 Travelers Championship Prediction

This is one of the great surprises the model is looking for at the 2025 Travelers Championship. Rory McIlroy, a 26-time PGA Tour winner and one of the top favorites, stumbled this week and won’t crack the top five. McIlroy has not been very consistent since completing his career grand slam in an April victory at the Masters. McIlroy secured a T-7 finish at the Truist Championship in May, but finished below T-47 in two of his last three starts.

The 36-year-old has admitted “lack of motivation” at the event since his victory at Augusta National. McIlroy entered the event, ranked 78th (169) in total driving this week and 79th in strokes. Approaching the green (0.071) and driving accuracy is 167th (51.89%). He’s not a strong choice to win it all, and the 2025 Travelers Championship Field is much better worth it. Look at the others fade here.

Another surprise: Tommy Fleetwood, a long shot at 40-1, runs strong in the title. He is the target of anyone looking for a huge payday, as he has a much better chance than his odds imply.

To score in TPC River Highlands, players need to be accurate on irons, and few people are better than Fleetwood. The 34-year-old British ranks 11th in the strokes obtained with his approach to the green (0.608). He is also effective on the greens, ranking 21st in average putting, 22nd in one putt percentage (42.89%) and 29th in PUTT per round (28.30). These impressive statistics and his long odds make for a strong and valuable pick in the 2025 Travelers Championship bet. See who else you choose here. Bettors trying to use a Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code Fleetwood can be finished in the top 10 with +250 odds.
