According to Sky Sports, the Rangers are “very enthusiastic” to sign England International after taking their move-up approach.

Ranger wants defenders and attackers after Cameron signs

GERS secured services for Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron in February, and the 22-year-old wrote a pre-contract agreement with Ibrox.

As reported on Sky Sports’ Live Transfer blog on Tuesday evening, the Rangers have approached Leicester City over a contract to sign Conor Coady. The foxes are open to selling centre-backs after relegation from the Premier League, and Ibrox people are “very enthusiastic” on the move.

“The Rangers approached Leicester about signing Connor Cody. The Scottish club is very keen to sign a deal to sign centre-back. Cody is one of many players willing to sell this summer after Leicester is demoted to the championship.

Coady, who won £3.9 million a year at King Power Stadium, has made 26 appearances for Leicester in all competitions last season and captained three times.

Coady, best known for his wolves, has plenty of Premier League experience, earning 10 caps for England and playing 12 times in the Europa League.

Called a player with a “really infectious personality” by Gareth Southgate, Coady is a central back that Martin is well known in his time as a British player and manager.
