Manchester United are bolstering their efforts to sign Brentford’s Brian Mbeumo as Reuben Amorim aims to add an offensive player to his team.

The Red Devils, who have already signed Mashwas Kuña from the Wolves this summer, are looking to continue their summer expenses after enduring a difficult season in 2024/25.

Following the disappointing Premier League campaign in which United recorded negative target differences for the second consecutive season, club officials are keen to increase goal scorers for their team.

After seeing the first £55 million bid rejected by Brentford earlier this month, the Red Devils are back with an improved offer of over £60 million.

The bees remained apart from one of their most influential players, and the growing financial pressure on Brentford could fall into United’s hands.

Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season, has been one of the most popular forwards in the division and is reportedly open to taking the next step in his career.

According to Manchester Evening News, Amorim is believed to have requested an attack, midfield and post-upgrade in addition to Mbeumo.

Due to Christian Eriksen’s imminent departure and the inconsistent form of Casemiro, the Premier League giants will target the moves of the new midfielder.

The new goalkeeper is also on United’s agenda.

As far as goalkeeping positions go, Andreonana’s shortcomings have been well documented for some time. His inconsistent performance worries the club and it’s no surprise to see him tied to the moves of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.

Despite adding Cunha and getting closer to Mbeumo’s move, Red Devils is about to add a striker to their team after Amorim was impressed with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

The coming weeks could be exciting for the man who has proven to be a shame for Man United fans who are waiting for the team’s more quality and depth after the past few seasons.

If they can get those deals done, it shows their intentions for the market and their ambition to return to the top of British football once again.
