For Novak Jjokovic, Winning Wimbledon for the 8th time It will be his record 25th major. At 38, the Serb knows that his single tennis days are counted. Djokovic I mentioned my retirement earlier this month The grand slams are grudged and were asked again about their chances of running away before the opening round match in London next week.

Djokovic (+650) has the third best odds to win It is behind French Open Champions Carlos Alcaraz (+110) and Giannique Sinner (+190), according to Fanduel Sportsbook.

“I don’t know if that might be my ‘last dance’…I’m not sure about Roland Garros or the other slams I’ll play next,” Djokovic said. “My wish is to play for a few more years. I want to be motivated physically and mentally to continue playing at the highest level. That’s the goal. But you’ll never know at this stage.”

Djokovic agrees if he had the opportunity to beat one of the young guns at No. 25. This is his best shot. His tournament will face Alexandre Muller on Tuesday.

“Because of the results I felt, I would probably agree that Wimbledon could be the best chance because of how Wimbledon plays for him,” Djokovic said. “It’s just a motive to mentally push that extra push and get the best tennis player to do the best tennis player.”

Djokovic lost to Alkaraz in straight sets at last year’s Wimbledon Finals, and last won the event in 2022.

“These tournaments give me the biggest drive,” Djokovic said. “I like the way I feel right now. In terms of tennis, I play well in practice sessions. When I start a tournament, it’s clearly completely different. I’ll have a very good tournament and try to go as much as I can.”

Djokovic has not won majors since winning three in 2023 and has dealt with “muscle issues” that tend to get worse the more he plays for a while. He played a grass court warm-up match at the Harlingham Club in London on Friday and reportedly committed many backhand errors in a 7-6 (4), 6-4 defeat to Karen Khachanov.

Djokovic has not played a match counted since the semi-final loss to the sinner at the French Open. He showed a fight against the world’s top-ranked players, but exhausted the gas during his fourth straight loss to the 23-year-old genius.

“(It) was a straight defeat, but I feel like I felt like I ran for his money,” Djokovic said earlier this month at Roland Garos. “I tried to get him to work until the last shot. I did what I could. This is a sport. You have to wave the better players and move on.”

Djokovic, 21-8 years old this year, finished sixth in the men’s tour.
