“These tournaments give me the biggest drive,” Djokovic said. “I like the way I feel right now. In terms of tennis, I play well in practice sessions. When I start a tournament, it’s clearly completely different. I’ll have a very good tournament and try to go as much as I can.”

Djokovic has not won majors since winning three in 2023 and has dealt with “muscle issues” that tend to get worse the more he plays for a while. He played a grass court warm-up match at the Harlingham Club in London on Friday and reportedly committed many backhand errors in a 7-6 (4), 6-4 defeat to Karen Khachanov.

Djokovic has not played a match counted since the semi-final loss to the sinner at the French Open. He showed a fight against the world’s top-ranked players, but exhausted the gas during his fourth straight loss to the 23-year-old genius.
