Nets Dominate Bucks 127-82, Matching Franchise Record for Largest Victory Margin

NEW YORK (AP) — Egor Demin led the Brooklyn Nets with 17 points, while Noah Clowney contributed 16, as the Nets dominated the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks in a commanding 127-82 victory on Sunday night. The Nets never trailed in the game, matching their largest-ever margin of victory in franchise history.

This 45-point win tied a record set back on January 9, 1993, when the team was based in New Jersey and faced Washington. After a tough start to the season with a 3-13 record, the Nets have since improved, winning four out of their last six games. They have also shown resilience at home, bouncing back from an 0-9 start to win three of their last four home games.

Brooklyn’s head coach Jordi Fernandez was absent due to illness, with assistant coach Steve Hetzel stepping in to lead the team. On the Bucks’ side, Gary Trent Jr. scored 20 points and Kyle Kuzma added 13, but the team has struggled recently, losing three of their last four games after losing star Giannis Antetokounmpo to a right calf injury sustained early in their December 3 win over Detroit.

The Nets led 65-46 at halftime, shooting 56.5 percent from the field, and extended their dominance with a 24-11 run in the third quarter to bring the lead to 94-65.

Looking ahead, the Bucks will host Toronto on Thursday night, while the Nets are set to face Miami at home the same evening.

Fan Take: This game is a significant morale boost for the Nets, demonstrating their potential when firing on all cylinders without succumbing to pressure. For basketball fans, it highlights the unpredictable nature of the NBA season and how injuries and resilience can shift team dynamics dramatically.
