Newcastle United reportedly has a solid contract for the race to sign Brentford star Brian Mbeumo this summer.

Cameroon International has been shining for Brentford this season and currently boasts a tally of 19 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Newcastle manager Eddie Hau is said to be a huge fan of Mbeumo, and the Magpie appears to be ready to take part in the conversation seriously for his signature.

The report suggests that some of the deal could be funded by selling Lloyd Kelly for around £20 million.

Mbeumo appears to be trying to prove for sure that Brentford is difficult to keep holding on to the grip after a great performance in the Premier League this season.

Newcastle recommends signing to a 25-year-old. I also imagine other top clubs fighting for his signature.

Catch off side I also want to sign Mbeumo, but I understand that they are also working on other attack targets like Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap.

If Newcastle goes out as the biggest target for Mbeumo, it will be interesting to see if it gives advantages.

Mbeumo has been with Brentford since 2019, so I imagine he might now be keen on new challenges.

The former Troys guy was able to do well to link with the NUFC as he appears to be where he really goes under Eddie Howe.

If Newcastle could boast of Mbeumo and Front 3 next season with the likes of Alexander Isaac and Anthony Gordon, the club could continue to do something really great.
