Michael Malone digs Nikola Jokic at “He’s MVP” points on Shay Gilgauss Alexander on ESPN debut

Michael Malone is no longer a Nuggets coach, and is soon supporting Shay Gilgauss Alexander via MVP Nikola Jokic.

Michael Malone was unexpectedly fired by the Denver Nuggets just three games before the NBA playoffs. It was a wild move considering they were the fourth species and were doing very well.

Malone reportedly was trying to get x regardless of the Nuggets season. In fact, GM Calvin Booth was planning to fire him before the Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Championship.

There is still a lot of ambiguity regarding Malone’s departure. Some believe that Nikola Jokic was involved in Malone’s firing.

There may be some truth to this statement, as Malone’s recent comments about his ESPN debut on the Serbs appear to suggest some discord.

Michael Malone made his ESPN debut as an analyst after Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. And it’s safe to say he’s already making some waves.

While talking about Shy Gilgauss Alexander, Malone was all praised and called him the NBA MVP this season.

“Shy Gilgaus Alexander showed me why he was the MVP. He took over in the second half.”

This is far from the argument he made while head coaching the Nuggets as Malone consistently won the MVP in favor of Nicola Djokic.

Could Malone’s change in MVP stance be hinting at problems between him and Nicola Djokic? Or will he have to trip over the Nugget company line already?

Over time, there are probably more answers. But this is certainly a dramatic change from the man who was playing the drums for Jokic just a few months ago.

Given the character of Jokic, it is unlikely that he would express public disappointment at Malone’s words. If anything, he may not respond at all.

However, Malone is known to be a hot head and can act when he is unhappy. So this should not be too surprising.
