Tottenham reportedly sees an ambitious transfer target following their Europa League victory against Manchester United last night.

The Spurs secured their Champions League football next season with a 1-0 victory over the Red Devils at Bilbao.

This is now leading Tottenham to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco, according to Spanish outlet Fichees.

Sesko has also been an Arsenal target for a long time, so if proven accurate, this could be a worrying development for Gunners.

Wherever the talented Youngslovenia International will be this summer, he is expected to cost him around £60 million, according to a previous report from Give Me Sport.

Benjamin Sesco Transfer: Should he join Arsenal or Tottenham?

It’s hard to imagine Sesko being seduced to join Arsenal in Spurs now, but you’ll never know that you’ve won major European trophies and Champions League qualifiers can be with your reputation.

However, the fact remains that Ange Postecoglou’s side has highlighted the Premier League campaign and remains 17th in the league table.

Unless there are major changes and no manager changes involved, it’s hard to imagine what THFC should pay attention to in the Champions League next season.

The Spurs still need a Harry Kane replacement

Still, it wasn’t long ago that the Spurs became a much more frequent challenger for the title and regularly finished in the top four.

Losing Harry Kane is a big blow, and that’s hardly surprising. If they can eventually replace him, their fate could probably change.

Sesko looks like the top young talent Postecoglou needs to lead the offense, but the players themselves may be looking at Arsenal as a safer bet in terms of winning faster.
