The Los Angeles are focused on winning another ring in 2025, but that doesn’t mean the front office hasn’t seen a free agency yet.

The have clearly not made public any potential targets they’ve been paying attention to in the free agent market this offseason, but MLB insider Jim Borden has linked the to Boston Red Sox triad Alex Bregman.
“His free agent market must be even more robust than his last offseason, along with the Yankees, Tigers, Astros, Phillies and even the , in addition to his Red Sox. He’ll be an upgrade for them all in the hot corner.”
Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Red Sox last winter, but the deal includes opt-out after each of the first two seasons. The drama arrives in Boston because Bregman was given a starting job in the hot corner, and the Red Sox choose to move Raphael’s evacuee to the designated batsman.
Bregman hit .299 with 11 home runs, 35 runs hit, and his OPS is .938. Defensively, he is ranked aggressively with outs above average per baseball savant. The third baseman is a two-time All-Star and World Series champion, earning both acclaim with the Houston Astros.
The showed they weren’t afraid to let go of longtime players as the team cut Christaylor and Austin Burns over the course of a week. Max Muncie is currently the ‘ longest-growing position player, but his production is certainly a concern.
Muncie is hitting .205 with three home runs, 19 RBI and .659 OPS. The previous All-Star is struggling defensively as he is in the second percentile with an above average out.
The may be considering upgrading on a 3 base, but given the history he has with LA, it’s still not clear whether Bregman will be considered a good fit
