The former NBA star calls Michael Jordan “one of the dirty players who have played the game,” explains why

Former NBA star Chris Childs had some strong words while talking about Michael Jordan being a dirty player.

Michael Jordan is considered a goat by many NBA fans. And whether or not you agree with it, no one can deny that he is perhaps the most important person in the history of the game.

As a result, MJ receives a lot of love from players and analysts. His game is mythologized, his legendary mentality is idolized, and there is little criticism that comes with how he does it.

Rich Paul recently wrote about how Jordan didn’t have to deal with what LeBron James was doing, but these things only came up in the context of the goat debate.

Generally, players from the MJ era say that the goat debate between him and James is over. But now, Chris Childs, a nine-year NBA veteran during his time at MJ, has put out some harsh words.

Childs was nothing more than an NBA role player. Nevertheless, he rose to MJ 15 times during his career, mainly during his time with the Chicago Bulls of Air Jordan.

He knows he has faced Jordan many times. That’s what makes hearing how strong his take is amazing.

“And what people don’t understand is that Michael was one of the dirty players he’s played the game?” Childs told Brandon “Scoop B” to Robinson.

“He’ll take a cheap photo of you and then look at the reference for help.”

“One of the things I’ve been standing in from the start is that I’m a guy like a guy and want to be treated accordingly.”

MJ has probably earned a significant share of his defense, but the truth remains that he is one of the best defensive players ever.

He committed 2,783 fouls during his NBA career, according to Statmuse. This means he fouled 2.6 times per game in his career. That’s a very small number.

Jordan’s numerous defensive accolades juxtaposed with this. He won the defensive player of the year in 1988, earning a whopping nine defensive first teams.

Whether the Bulls man was a cheap artist or not, this is unlikely to see a take from Childs change anyone’s perception of him.
