10

Jack Stevens (Southampton)

92% pass completed

Southampton defender Jack Stevens was responsible for the campaign that affected his injuries as he only started 17 times at centreback.

He still scraped into the top 10 at the end of the season, squeezing ahead of Premier League captain Virgil van Dyke.

9

Renee Yoro (Man Utd)

92.4% pass completed

Manchester United may have endured a horrible season, but one of the brighter elements of the campaign has probably come in the form of Renee Yolo’s appearance on the first team.

The Frenchman took the time to make the mark at Old Trafford after being injured shortly after signing, but finished the season as one of his most trusted players.

Interestingly, another new signature was United’s next best passerby, Mattijis Deligut, who averaged 89.9% successful passes through 2024/25.

8

Mateo Kovacic (Man City)

92.6% pass completed

Mateo Kovacic, who suffered many injuries at Etihad Stadium, managed to get more game time with Man City than last season. He took his opportunity, whether it was a goal of scoring or in his general form of all-around play.

As expected on the Guardiola side, Kovasic is tidy in the ball, which played a major role in the presence of Rodri.

Even a season-ending injury did not stop Manchester City’s Rodri from claiming football’s biggest individual award.

7

Jan Bednarek (Southampton)

92.7% pass completed

In the style based on Southampton’s ownership, Saint-center-back Jan Bednarek made the top ten.

The saints may not have been close to enough points on the board, but Bednarek’s pass completion rate was a rare positive sign for St. Mary’s.

6

Ezricona (Aston Villa)

92.9% pass completed

Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa is a regular for Unai Emery and offers the versatility of being able to play at right-back and centre-back.

The British have now made more than 200 appearances for Villa and are clearly comfortable with the ball.

5

Andre (Wolf)

92.9% pass completed

Perhaps the surprising name on the list is Andre, Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder.

The Brazilian midfielder arrived from Fulminence ahead of the 2024/25 season, but was not a nailed starter under Gary O’Neill. He was in and out of the starting lineup, but started more regularly under Vitor Pereira, during which he showed genuine value to the old gold.

4

Curtis Jones (Liverpool)

93.1% pass completed

One of the players who starred under Arne Slot during his first season as Liverpool manager was midfielder Curtis Jones.

Jones had the best pass completion percentage for Reds Star and began 19 games as his rise with the first team continued.

3

Reuben Diaz (Man City)

93.5% pass completed

Another Man City star on the list is Reuben Diaz, with Portugal International being the mainstay on the Man City side.

Diaz has found himself in half of the opposition for many City Premier League matches due to their advantage, and he continues to own it when he was on the ball for the most part. In fact, both urban centrebacks were last year…

2

Manuel Accandi (Man City)

93.6% pass completed

Manuel Akanji was the passerby in Topman City last season. He was also missing at the right back occasionally as injuries became a little more severe at Etihad Stadium.

Swiss International appears to be nailing the role of centre-back under Pep Guardiola, becoming a reliable player in the absence of John Stones and Nathan Ake.

1

William Saliba (Arsenal)

94.3% pass completed

The topping on the charts this season was Arsenal star William Saliba, reaching over 94%.

Gunners’ guaranteed starter under Mikel Arteta is almost certain for a while, Saliba’s location at the top of the game. Part of the reason is his calmness, as evident from his high pass success rate.
