The NBA playoffs and some futures bets are reaching their climax, with the Stanley Cup odds also heating up as both leagues approach their Championship Series. One bettor at DraftKings Sportsbook has certainly kept the excitement alive by placing just over $13 on a five-team futures parlay that includes the WNBA title, World Series, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, and NBA Finals. As the Oklahoma City Thunder and Edmonton teams edge closer to winning their championships, this bet could turn $13 into an astounding $270,761.40, with a current cash-out offer nearing $75,000.

High rollers have also made significant plays recently. One bettor wagered $418,200 on the New York Knicks to cover a spread in the Eastern Conference Finals, resulting in a massive win of $373,392.86 as the Knicks extended their series lead. Another bettor placed $100,000 on the Thunder to win the Western Conference and collected $57,140 after their victory over Minnesota. This same bettor has additional large bets on the Thunder to win the NBA Finals, potentially netting nearly $300,000 in profit.

In other action, fans at Fanduel Sportsbook combined six prop bets on Tyrese Haliburton during the Knicks-Pacers Game 4, turning a $25 wager into $8,690 thanks to Haliburton’s impressive 32-point game with 15 assists and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Caesars Sportsbook bettors saw mixed results betting on the Pacers-Knicks Game 5, with one winning on total points under and another losing on the point spread.

These big bets are typically placed by high-stakes bettors who can afford losses, serving as a caution to casual bettors to wager responsibly. Parlays remain a bookmaker’s favored bet type, but it’s always crucial to bet within one’s means.

Fan Take: For hockey fans, seeing the Stanley Cup odds surge alongside NBA futures highlights the growing excitement and cross-sport interest during playoff seasons. This kind of betting frenzy not only fuels fan engagement but could boost the sport’s visibility and popularity as high-stakes wagers bring more eyes and energy to the games.
