Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Brighton attacker Jankova Minte during the summer transfer period.
The 20-year-old has done very well in Premier League outfits this past season, scoring seven goals in all competitions. He also has five assists in his name. He could develop into a reliable Premier League attacker, and top clubs are keen on him. He was linked to the move towards Newcastle United a few months ago.
According to a report by Fichajes, players will be costing around 35 million euros (£30 million) this summer. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool or Manchester United will move forward with an offer to sign him.
Does Liverpool have any advantages?
Liverpool may have the advantage in races that sign players. Minte has worked for Arneslot while together at Fayenode, but the opportunity to reunite with his former manager may be exciting for him. Slots also highly evaluate players. He previously labelled the 20-year-old as “really impressive.”
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be able to make the deal. They will need more depth in a wide area and 20 years old will be a long-term investment.
Even young people will find it difficult to refuse the opportunity to participate in the Premier League champions. Liverpool’s regular football could help him improve further.
Keen Keen Keen to Yankaba Minte
When it comes to Manchester United, Minte could replace players like Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho. All three players were able to leave the club forever this summer. Manchester United will need more cutting edge in the final third, and the 20-year-old will be a solid acquisition.
Meanwhile, the two Premier League clubs will also face competition with UEFA Europa League winner Tottenham Hotspur. They are monitoring the 20-year-old and it is still unclear whether they will move forward with an offer to sign him.
