  • Newcastle accepts Gordon sales
  • Magpies aren’t looking to offload Livramento

Newcastle United will be busy this summer, but their transfer business could include some of the players leaving the club.

Magpies can qualify for the Champions League next season, and to prepare for the competition, they are ready to strengthen their teams in several positions.

The financial boost the club is about to reach the Champions League from qualifying has ensured that it will be spent on new signatures this summer with clubs interested in signing a wide range of offensive players to improve their offensive firepower.

Newcastle accepts Gordon sales

Newcastle United reportedly tend to say goodbye to winger Anthony Gordon than defender Tino Livramento.

Magpies are open to selling Gordon, and although he cherishes for around £80 million, he is keen to maintain Librament despite interest from top clubs.

Gordon joined Newcastle from Everton in January 2023, and made a significant contribution to the team. In the 2023/24 season, he recorded 12 goals and 16 assists in 48 appearances.

However, his form was soaked up in the following season, with nine goals and seven assists in 42 games.

Despite the decline, his potential continues to attract attention from Liverpool and Manchester City, who have expressed interest in signing England International.

Meanwhile, Libramento has been impressed since his journey from Southampton and has become a key figure in Newcastle’s defense. His performance is reportedly attracting interest from Man City, but Newcastle is determined to protect him.

Financial considerations are always a factor, but Newcastle’s current stance suggests that offloading Librament would prefer to sell Gordon when necessary, rather than disrupt defensive stability.

It is very important to balance squad development and financial prudence, and Gordon’s potential for sales could provide funding for strengthening without compromising the team’s defensive structure.

Magpies are looking at Man City star James McAtee’s deal this summer.
