Arsenal expert Charles Watts says he wouldn’t be surprised if he forwarded rumors that Real Madrid wanted Miles Lewis Skelly.
The talented Young England International has had an incredible breakthrough season at Emirates Stadium, showing great potential to become a key player in the club and country.
Lewis Skelly, who is only 18, is clearly one of the top prospects in the game at this point, and Watts understands Real Madrid is watching him.
But that’s a very worrying Arsenal news, but Watts moved to reassure the club’s fans that he thinks the teenager remains on a new contract and is signing.
Miles Lewis Skelly stays at Arsenal instead of joining Real Madrid
Discuss Lewis Skelly’s situation in his latest exclusive column Catch off sideWatts said: “I’ve heard of Louis Skelly’s interest from Real Madrid, but that doesn’t surprise me a bit. He’s an outrageous talent and I saw that firsthand when Madrid bossed them with two legs in the Champions League last season.
“Of course they are interested in such a promising young player and want to know what his plans are being given.
“But I’m sure he’ll soon agree to an extension at Arsenal. He was the future of the club and he dreamed of making it on the senior side, so why would he leave soon after achieving that dream?
“Arsenal is very calm about the situation. They believe Lewis Skelly will sign. At this stage there is no reason to doubt that view.”
Arsenal needs to keep the star this summer
I imagine hearing a few more stories about Arsenal players in the near future, as the club needs to be tied down to a new contract.
Lewis Skelly is one of them, but AFC fans will soon be hoping for updates to other key players like Gabriel Magalges, William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal also needs to ensure that they show a lot of ambitions in the transfer window to help them take their final step towards winning the major trophies, based on this talented group of players they currently have.
