With a 40-42 record in 2024-25, the Sacramento Kings competed in the Play-In Tournament. They didn’t make the playoffs for the second season in a row.

Head coach Mike Brown and general manager Monte McNair have been fired. Additionally, the team traded franchise PG De’aaron Fox for King. In return, the team received Zack Labine from the Bulls. According to NBA Insider Mikescot, the King could consider swapping at least one member of the Big 3. These include Domanta Sabonis, Zac Labine, or Demar Delozan.

What is the most logical player for Sacramento to trade?

Rival executives around the NBA are keeping an eye on Sacramento’s Big 3, according to League Insider. There is a belief that the team is willing to trade either Domanta Sabonis, Zach Labine, or De Mar de Rozan. The deal could take place this offseason or before the 2025-26 deadline. Let’s start with Domantas Sabonis. He was bought by King through the Pacers at the trade deadline of 2021-22.

Sabonis played the final four and a half seasons of his career at Sacramento. Sabonis leads the NBA every game in three consecutive seasons. He owes $136.42 million over the next three seasons. Domantas Sabonis is undoubtedly the most consistent player on the King’s roster. Another member of the Kings Big 3 is SG Zach Labine. He was bought by the King at the 2024-25 trade deadline.

Lavine began all 32 games he played for Sacramento after the deal. He owed $47.5 million between 2025 and 2026 and has a $48.97 million player option for the 2026-27 season. Despite being bought out last season, Lavine is still being monitored by rival executives. Finally, there is Demar Derozan. He turns 36 in the 2025-26 season and owes just $24.57 million. Additionally, $10 million is guaranteed of his $25.74 million from 2026-27. This will make Derozan more likely to be a trade candidate for the Kings this offseason.
