Chad Seigler praised the success and growing popularity of NASCAR Brazil, citing fan enthusiasm at Interlagos and Brazilian driver Gabriel Casagrande’s impressive performance on a U.S. oval track in New Smyrna.
Former Formula 1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr. remains the only Brazilian to have won at three national NASCAR levels, while Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves made his Cup debut this year, though his first race ended early due to a crash.
