Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy has fired Ange Postcogl. Perhaps after a week of deliberation, it was decided that the Australian coach’s Europa League victory was not enough to save him.
This is one of the most dramatic years in the club’s modern history, and certainly one of the most chaotic and disturbing seasons of countless clubs in Europe.
But everything was watching. I watch it with glee and compassion, but my eyes have been riveted as the drama unfolds.
Postecoglou made a promise. That promise came in the most overwhelming way as the Spurs recouped a miserable domestic campaign in which the club came in 17th in the Premier League in their second season as managers.
Sadly, there is no season 3 in this series. But there may be some exciting new faces in the dugout.
Spurs will be holding lectures on alternative Ange
According to TBR Football, Levi has held consultations with many candidates in the Tottenham Manager position, with Brentford’s Thomas Frank being the main candidate, while another Premier League boss who can move in.
It was Oliver Glasner, and Crystal Palace led its glory in the FA Cup in this term. Glasner was assigned as a potential option, and said that Wembley was “100% committed” to Selhurst Park after his victory over Manchester City, but Tottenham presented a compelling long-term project.
The Austrian coach, 50, is even considered to be leading the race alongside Frank to accomplish the success of the post-Coglu.
What Oliver Glasner brings to the Spurs
Moves from the league’s “Big Six,” Glasner could prove to be Tottenham’s next Mauricio Pochettino, especially as both bosses employ a vast offensive game.
Former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Glasner took the Eagles’ rein in February 2024, replacing Roy Hodgson after 10 defeats from 17 games. The Palace was 15th, but there was no inspiration or direction.
Glasner welcomed “incredible” work in south London by James B of AFTV.

His high-intensity, hardworking tactical approach allows him to emulate the former Spurs guffahers, once criticised for his players’ hard work during Tottenham training.
Of course, Glasner’s FA Cup Lift did not mark the first major trophy of his management career, winning the Europa League in Frankfurt, so he simply coordinated with some of the principles that persuaded the Spurs to take his brand to the N17 and make an appointment in the past.
In that respect, he has proven himself capable of surpassing Pockettino and is moving from his divisional rivals, but his victory mentality has already been built.
The truth is that there is a very solid argument behind Levy’s decision to dismiss the man who ended the 17 infinite year in search of a major trophy.
And if he moves to appoint Glasner, that football appoints Glasner, who has been shown to be qualified to win the trophy through his victory in the FA Cup last month, Tottenham may turn his strength into the next semester.
