“Standby” Newcastle & Man City deal, according to Fabrizio Romano

Manchester City’s bid to sign Newcastle United’s right-back Tino Librament appears to have come across issues and is currently pending.

The 22-year-old has long been considered a big prospect since his days at the Chelsea academy. He was certainly impressed during his time at Newcastle.

Man City appears to have been interested in signing Livramento, but Fabrizio Romano now reports that the deal appears to be a standby.

Romano posted to X about the transfer of Man City from Livramento, so please see below.

Romano said: “The negotiations with Tino Librament and Man City are currently in complicated and standby. Newcastle has not reduced their asking price because they want to keep the Librament. It is almost impossible to agree to terms in time for the Club World Cup.”

Newcastle wants to maintain Tino Libramento

Newcastle fans will be pleased that their club is fighting to protect their best players.

Although City doesn’t seem to win England International in time for the Club World Cup, it will be interesting to see if the saga has made a comeback later in the summer.

Pep Guardiola can bring a new right-back as a long-term alternative to Kyle Walker, and librament seems to be the ideal choice.

However, Newcastle just enjoyed an incredible season in which he won the Carabao Cup and competed in the Champions League.

It is important for the Magpie to bring this team together and further strengthen it. Rather than letting key members of the team join their top four rivals, they will further strengthen them.
