Liverpool are willing to rest in their glory after winning the Premier League in Arne Slot’s first season at Anfield in the 2024/25 campaign.

The Reds have already plummeted, taking Jeremy Fripon to the club from Bayer Leverkusen to the first signing of the summer transfer window.

He has replaced Trent Alexander Arnold. Trent Alexander Arnold will permanently sign Real Madrid and compete for the spot in the next term with Connor Bradley on the right-back.

The Netherlands International provided five goals and nine assists in all Leverkusen tournaments this season. This suggests that the fullback can provide ample quality in the final third of the Reds.

But Frimon may not be the only offensive dynamo to switch from Germany. Leverkusen in particular is working on a deal that Liverpool will sign Florian Wharts in the coming weeks.

Why Florian Wurts is a big signing for Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that the club is “moving forward” to sign German International.

Journalist Paul Joyce recently claimed that the Reds had made an offer worth up to £113 million, the 22-year-old feeling.

However, he has been in great shape for the German side over the past two seasons, so it’s no surprise to see the price tag on Leverkusenster’s head.

Wirtz scored 21 goals and combined the 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaign to provide 23 assists at Bundesliga.

His form on Germany’s top flight this season suggests that due to his form at the top of the pitch, he could be a very exciting addition to the team for the slot.

As can be seen in the table above, Wirtz hit two digits on both goals and overperformed Leverkusen’s Bundesliga’s assist against XG.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s central or attacking midfielder had no control over six goals or six assists in the Premier League.

However, the Premier League champions are reportedly lined up now to bring in a star that will make a bigger signature than Wirtz.

Liverpool will bid for Premier League stars

Spanish reports say Liverpool is watching Alexander Isaac take to Anfield from Newcastle United during the summer transfer period.

The report claims that the Reds will bid up to £110 million worth of bids in Swedish International. £84 million will be made in advance, with the rest being offered with performance-based add-ons.

Liverpool is also monitoring attempts to lock Newcastle’s Isaac into a new contract, revealing that if the striker does not commit his future to St. James Park, they are ready to strike.

The outlet adds why they are planning to make a huge bid for his services, as the Reds want to move quickly on a deal with former Borussia Dortmund attackers.

However, it remains to be seen whether the £110 million offer is enough to lure Newcastle to cash out the Star Striker, or whether players will be open to abandoning the team in favor of a move to Anfield.

Why is Isaac a bigger signature than Wirtz?

Isak will be a bigger signature than Liverpool’s Wirtz for many reasons.

First, it would be a move for the club to take one of its top Premier League rivals and weaken direct competition rather than going abroad to snap talent like Wirtz. This will make him sign the Reds’ signature. Because it explains their pull by being able to sign such players from their rivals.

Secondly, this is tied to the first point, but Isak is a proven Premier League performer who can run and run as a player who doesn’t have time to adapt to the division.

Since Wurtz has never played domestic football outside of Germany, there are still questions about how his game will be translated into the Premier League, simply because he hasn’t proven himself at that level yet.

As shown in the clip above, ISAK has also already proven his quality against Liverpool with a great goal in the League Cup final at Wembley in March, with slots describing him as an “incredible threat.”

As you can see from the table above, the Swedish marksmen enjoyed a sensational season with Premier League Magpies. He was directly involved in 29 goals, which means Wirtz was involved for Bundesliga’s Leverkusen.

Louis Diaz was Liverpool’s top score striker option on top flights in the slot, returning 13 goals.

Overall, ISAK is an even bigger signature than Liverpool’s Wirtz, and even bigger signature than Liverpool’s Wirtz, as he signed him from the Premier League rivals, the proven quality he offers, and the upgrades he has for his team.

But now it remains to be seen whether Newcastle can be convinced to say goodbye to the 25-year-old centre forward after closing off the Leverkusen star movement.
