Your Tillémans had an incredible 2024-25 season for Aston Villa, but he still plays at a high level after switching to the international stage.

The Tillémans are considered by many to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League last season, and he was certainly one of Aston Villa’s outstanding performers in all competitions. And that shape he showed was moved to the international stage with Belgium, facing Wales in Brussels in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Belgium rules Welsh, and Tilletmans is at the heart of the performance. And the 28-year-old held it down by scoring the second goal of the night for the Red Devils.

It was a great team goal for Belgium. This concludes with a young fullback Maxim DeQuiper cutting the ball back to Thierremans, who thrust into the roof of Leeds goalkeeper Carlderlow’s net.

It’s a great finish from Thierremans, adding to the five goals he scored at Aston Villa during the 2024-25 season. Belgium is already on track on their way to win the match as they lead 3-1 at halftime courtesy of the goals of Romell Lukaku and Jeremy Doc who found the net behind the net.

Aston Villa fans may have some uncertainty about his situation at Villa Park, but they will be happy to see their players behind the net once again. As the Saudi Arabian club is thought to be interested in signing him during the second transfer period in the summer, he could be sold this summer to help the club with well-documented PSR issues.

For now, the focus is on Tillémans’ performance on the pitch, but this is still at a very high level.
