We’re back with our knack for drama, suspense, and ranking shakeups! While two teams are clearly dominating the league, there’s plenty to talk about among the other 11 squads.

Just a reminder: these rankings come from WinSIDR teams who regularly vote throughout the season on each team’s standing. We’ll show each team’s current record along with their results since the last Power Rankings update.

Enjoy!

13. Dallas Wings (1-9) – 0-1 this period
Struggling to defend and stay competitive, the Wings have suffered two recent losses that shake confidence. They’ve shown some signs of progress, but not enough, especially in second halves lately.

12. Chicago Sky (2-5) – 2-2
Chicago secured a win against the still-gelling Dallas Wings but have faced tough challenges otherwise. The team has room to grow, especially after a 27-point loss to Indiana Fever. Sadly, Courtney Vandersloot is out for the season with an ACL injury.

11. Connecticut Sun (2-7) – 2-3
The Sun made history for all the wrong reasons, becoming just the second team after the 1998 Washington Mystics to lose multiple games by 37+ points in one season, both within 10 days. Heavy defeats, including a 100-52 beatdown by the defending champs, have highlighted their struggles.

10. Los Angeles Sparks (3-6) – 1-3
The Sparks have faced tough losses to top teams like Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Phoenix—but also earned a morale-boosting win against Dallas. Upcoming games will reveal more about the team’s identity.

9. Golden State Valkyries (3-5) – 1-4
After an exciting start, the Valkyries’ lack of star power has shown through with four losses to playoff contenders. Their defensive gaps are evident following defeats against Liberty and Minnesota.

8. Washington Mystics (4-6) – 2-3
The Mystics have been inconsistent, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, posting thrilling wins at home followed by surprising losses. Rookie Kiki Iriafen shines, earning Rookie of the Month honors with impressive stats.

7. Indiana Fever (4-4) – 2-2
Losing Clark was hard, but the Fever showed growth by beating the Mystics and Sky. With Clark’s return imminent, the team looks poised to improve further.

6. Las Vegas Aces (4-3) – 2-1
The Aces are finding their rhythm, integrating Jewel Lloyd into the offense and securing key road wins. Their progress is steady if a bit uneven, showing two steps forward and one back.

5. Seattle Storm (5-4) – 2-3
Led by a veteran core, Seattle faced setbacks but bounced back with an important road win in Phoenix. The team needs to adjust to maintain playoff positioning.

4. Phoenix Mercury (6-4) – 3-3
Phoenix endured a tough early schedule alongside injuries and roster changes. They’ve beaten teams they should but must now prove they can compete with the league’s upper tier.

3. Atlanta Dream (5-3) – 2-1
The Dream look real, building fast chemistry and securing big wins out west before a tough loss in Connecticut. Jordan Canada’s return from injury could kick off even greater success.

2. Minnesota Lynx (9-0) – 5-0
Undefeated and dominant, the Lynx have set a high bar. Whether it lasts until their anticipated July 30 rematch with the Liberty remains to be seen, but they continue to rule the league effortlessly.

1. New York Liberty (8-0) – 5-0
This Liberty squad is arguably stronger than last year’s champs, with Natasha Cloud fitting perfectly into the mix. Both the Liberty and Lynx remain undefeated, but New York holds the top spot—for now.
